Saturday's Meeting

The Coconut Telegraph would like to respond to Anonymous and to All of you who have expressed your support for The Board! Thanks, it's good to know that the opinion of a few Members are not the opinion of the majority. We don't need to explain to most of you that the Board is made up of Volunteers who at times have no clue what we are doing but that's why we only pay $100 a year!! Seriously, the Board does its' best. These past two years KLV has made great strides to embrace the 21st. century but we are not the Mainland and we hope never to become that (despite Starbucks!). I'd like to address the issue that came up over the fact that the Board did not present a detailed accounting report. The Board does not have a CPA on their payroll, that would cost over $200 per month. The person(s) making these requests at the meeting are professionals who work in the banking industry. Rather than expect these precise reports may we suggest that they step forward and help with the accounting. We are having a review process before year's end and it is the practice that a Village Member that is NOT on the Board of Directors review the books. Our records are open to ALL and we would like to invite anyone with any questions or whoever feels that they can do a better job to give a Board Member a call and make an appointment to go over the books.

On a lighter note, we will be holding Auditions and Rehearsals (not the we need to rehearse) for the upcoming Christmas Caroling that will take place December 22 at the Beach, Friday Dec. 7th, 5ish ..... Songsheet will be welcomed as no one has ever known the words to a complete song in the past. Not even Jingle Bells! But we do a nice bilingual version of 'We wish you a Merry Christmas' . Auditions/Reheasal will be accompanied by Happy Hour so BYOB and Snacks wear red and let's Party! Come on, you need a break from the Holiday stress, really!!!!
Anyone wishing to be caroled to on Dec 22 could maybe let the carolers know by posting a bamboo torch (which we can provide) or just by being out on your porch with 'refreshments' because caroling can make you thirsty!
